End-of-Summer Pick Up Reminder!

Hey hey hey, Gear Hut humans (and dogs... and cats... and birds?)
It’s that time again — the seasons are quickly changing and you won't stop calling us about skis! Which means it's just about time for a flip flop. If you currently have summer items in the Gear Hut system, this post is for YOU. With winter intake just around the corner, we’ve got to make room for skis, snowboards, and winter gear by October 1.
Here’s what you need to know:
☀️ SUMMER SALE + CONSIGNMENT DEADLINES
All summer items still in the system are:
✅ Eligible for our End-of-Summer Sale (discounts will run up to 50% off their originally marked prices!)
✅ Set to automatically convert to Gear Hut inventory on October 1
At this point in the summer, we’ve got two options for how you'd like to handle your unsold summer gear (if you dropped items off early in the season, you should have already received your first first option of picking them up last month so they don't end up in the sale):
🔹 Option 1: After our SALE...Want Unsold Gear Back?
Pick up between September 18–30 to reclaim anything that doesn’t sell.

🔹 Option 2: Okay With Donation & Shop Ownership?
Do nothing! Items will be auto converted to shop inventory on October 1 and stored off-site for next summer. This helps support our community minded shop and keeps Gear Hut running strong in Reno.
🔍 Not Sure What You’ve Got in the System?
Log into your Consignor Account and follow these steps:
Click the ITEM tab
Set Status to "ACTIVE"
Use the calendar to filter for “Year to Date”
Sort by Expire Date and look for items expiring 9/30/25
These are your summer items that need action before Oct. 1!
Summer items include: tanks, shorts, summer dresses and skirts, bike apparel, bike footwear, bike helmets, bike racks, sandals, wetsuits, boats, inflatables, pfds, paddling gear, booties, swimwear and boardshorts. AKA: everything that takes up valuable rack and shelf space that we need to dedicate to winter gear!

Using the scheduling links helps us prep your items ahead of time. That means a faster, smoother experience when you swing by the shop.

Our Winter Season officially opens in October! DO NOT BRING WINTER GEAR BY SOONER! This year, we're accepting winter gear from 2015 or newer — with no delamination or coreshots!
