FREE EVENT: Intro to Bikepacking

Our Trailblazer Talk Series continues in an effort to increase access to education and the community! This month... we're chatting all things BIKEPACKING!

WHEN: Tuesday, April 30th (6-8pm)

WHERE: @ Gear Hut (318 Broadway Blvd)

WHAT:

In an effort to build the outdoor community here in Reno, we are hosting monthly skills clinics! Our goal is to break down barriers of entry, create safe spaces for questions and learning, and a place to meet like minded adventurers!

Join us at the shop for our April FREE SKILLS CLINIC where we'll be discussing all the logistics behind bikepacking in partnership with Radical Adventure Riders.

Bikepacking is growing in popularity here in Reno and we've received a TON of interest in this topic! (Bikepacking is similar to backpacking... but on a bicycle, packing everything you might need for an overnight adventure).

What we we plan to cover during this "round table" chat:

  • Trip planning and logistics

  • General packing list

  • Must have bike repair skills

  • Options for frames and bike bags

  • Water in the desert

  • Sleeping situations

We will have a couple of our personal set ups to demonstrate with!

Light snacks and beverages will be provided!  PLEASE! RSVP to save your spot! These events do have limited space so we can keep an intimate atmosphere (and fit in the shop!).

RAR: Founded in 2017, Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) is a movement towards gender inclusivity and racial equity in cycling and the outdoors. RAR does this by providing education, connection, resources, and support for the community and industry.
